Feed the Birds Day

Feed the Birds Day is a celebration of the fantastic birds and other wildlife we find around us.

We ran events across the UK to celebrate Feed the Birds Day over the weekend of 25 and 26 October 2008.

There is so much you can do for your local wildlife. We've even got a special project for you all - Homes for Wildlife.

Have you made a Home for Wildlife?

We will provide free advice on what you can do in your garden, patio, driveway or even balcony. Just click on the link below to find out more.

Seventy thousand people have so far received our free wildlife gardening advice. The more people who take part in Homes for Wildlife, the better the areas in which we live will be for wildlife! From putting a pot plant on a balcony to digging a garden pond, we hope many thousands of you will take action in your area.

Three of our most familiar birds - the house sparrow, starling and song thrush have large populations in our gardens and need our help. Homes for Wildlife is a great example of important conservation action that anyone can get involved with.

With our Homes for Wildlife advice, we hope we can turn around their fortunes - with your help.

What can I do?

Take part in 'Homes for Wildlife' and we'll provide you with all the advice you'll need to attract birds and other wildlife to your garden.
